Dear Lynn,
It is good to read that you will able to take a break, and to return home for a few days. All of your own obligations have not evaporated during this tragedy for Kerry and John. Hopefully you will get to rest in your own bed, and return somewhat refreshed physically, emotionally, and mentally. All of that is a big HOPE, because the situation in its multi-levels is exhausting, mentally draining, and totally frustrating, when justice does not seem to be present anywhere in any of these events.
I can offer so little in the way of help, other than prayers for you all. I do wish to plant the seed for future thought, when you are all able....that focusing on the anger that we all feel for the accident happening in the first place....only begets more physical stress on every one's bodies, minds, and souls. That is not healthy for anyone ! Focus instead on Kerry's return to LIFE, as she knew it before the accident. Celebrate each tiny bit of good news as it arises. And if you can find even the smallest thing to laugh about, DO IT !!!
Don and I have tried to be as present as possible to these events, and in February when we drive to Florida, we hope to be able to see Kerry and John, and You, to bring our WELL WISHES FOR KERRY in person !
With much love,
Alice and Don
