Medical Update 1/6/09

Tuesday 6 January 2009   Difficult day for everyone with Kerry awake and in a great deal of discomfort particularly hard on John and Lynn.   Spinal surgery will be on Friday .Hard to wait but healing for many of the injuries are taking place as we wait. There is a sequence to healing of everything in the body. There is a latent phase as the body cranks up its resources then a phase as the injured tissue is reabsorbed and then the healing phase with each tissue having different speeds i.e. skin heals more quickly than bone for instance.   Meeting with the endocrinologist tonight to discuss her low serum calcium and (now 6.2 ) its course in the future. This is related to her pseudohypoparathyroidism.   Hayden will be in the area on business (hah) on Monday   Marty
